International Business Specialization
The Gustavson program offers 4 routes for undergraduate students to take to ultimately "see the world differently." Of these four routes Netan chose International Business as his specialzation. The business program has continued to have a culture that promotes globalization and seeing the world as a canvas of endless opportunities.
4th Year Specialization Courses:
COM 400 - Global Strategy

Examined the complexities of managing the multinational enterprise
and creating competitive advantage in a global setting. Each class was composed of debates that required analytical thinking to choose a
competing side and take stand on emerging issues in international
strategy.
IB 415 - Cross Cultural Management

Further understood the complexity and dynamics of doing
business across national borders. Training to be a potential global
leader allowed Netan to work on skills such as: 1. Cultural awareness
and sensitivity, 2. Cross-cultural negotiation, 3. Managing diversity,
and 4. Cross-cultural adaptation.
IB 416 - International Marketing

Understood international business in the context of globalization. The outcomes were being able to analyze complex cases and compose written reporte. Also, writing international marketing plans to assist a real-world company's foreign market entry was a highlight.
IB 417 - International Finance

Acquired knowledge of international financial management and the ability to apply the analytical techniques (Risk Management, Portfolio Management, Arbitrage Opportunities, Transaction Exposure, Operating Exposure, Trading, etc.) to various business-related financial decisions.

Consulting Project for Schneider Electric (Real Life Situation)

Worked alongisde 3 other team members, as a consulting group to Schneider
Electric. Netan brought his financial knowledge and strategic thinking to integrate
the 4 courses taught in his international business specialization to tackle a real-life
case for Schneider Electric in the foreign market.
